My first little trip in Chatswood, Sydney.
We almost prefectly done our jobs--shopping for winter clothes. The reason I used 'almost' here, is because there was a dark purple shirt which both of us like it a lot. It looks so good. But, not for the price. So we have to give up since we need rational consumption. However, we can have the shrit stay on my blog! huhu~

First Discovery---
San Churro
From the logo of the shop, you may notice that it looks like a man's face. And it is. There was a man named ' San Churro' before. Because he was the first person brought the churro to the world.
In 1528
Hernan Cortes brought the decadent Aztec tradition of chocolate to Spain. So precious was this gift that only the monks were allowed to manufacture chocolate strictly for the Spanish aristocracy. The head monk,
San Churro, witnessed many miracles of chocolate including the healing of the Queen of Spain and made it his life's work to spread the 'secret' of chocolate across Europe.
And so began the legend of San Churro...
Chocolate & Churros
This classic Spanish treat is San Churro’s specialty.
Churros (Spanish doughnuts) are made fresh to order & served with a pot of melted couverture chocolate.
Mmmmmm......
You can enjoy it with different
sources if you want. We chosed dark chocolate and carmel.
The coffee in white is "Chai Latte" ,
and another one is "Spanish Latte'.
I found a recipe of how to make chocolate brownies which is also very welcomed in San Churro, but it looks so....XXX. I wondering when I will have the mood to try it. Haha~
San Churro’s Miracle Chocolate Brownies
- ¾ cup plain flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 115g unsalted butter
- ¾ teaspoon instant coffee
- 280g San Churro dark chocolate (60/40 or Guinea depending on your taste)
- ¾ cup caster sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Butter an 8 inch square baking pan.
Sift the flour, salt and cocoa powder together and set aside.
In a medium-large heavy saucepan, combine the butter, coffee and stir over low heat until the butter is melted. Add 150g of the chocolate, stirring constantly until the mixture appears completely smooth, approximately 2 minutes.
Take the chocolate mixture off the heat and add the sugars, mixing until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla and continue stirring until they are evenly incorporated and the mixture does not appear grainy.
Sprinkle the sifted flour over the mixture and stir just until blended. Stir in the remaining chocolate chips (130g).
Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the top. Bake brownies for 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out with a few moist crumbs. Do not overbake. Cool completely on a wire rack.
NOTE:
If you are using a dark-coloured baking pan, reduce the oven temperature by 5ºC
Oh, just a little notice. The price in San Churro is a bit expensive, be careful of your pocket. However, that explains why
the Company of San Churro recently ranked 22 in Australia’s 100 fastest growing companies (BRW Fast Starter’s List).
Second Discovery--
ARIKADO Sushi Train
It's a interesting Sushi train, not because of the sushi in that shop but the name of the shop. It means "Thanks" in Japanese. The price is amazing! Each dish is only $2.50. Can you believe it ? And there are teasting~
Trust me! Worth to go at anytime~and many times!
*I should take a photo~~ahhh*
Oh, this is the gift from Chatswood. A handsome man smiling to me, with two big smiling flowers on his shoulders.
